Xenon Headlights or Heated Seats

I can't decide between these options...I live in Texas, so the heated seats would only be useful during winter, or when my back is sore :-). Xenon headlights are just..Xenon Headlights.

Heated Seats: $500
Xenon Headlights: $800

(Obviously, I am getting the 128i)

Xenons should be standard option for the 135i anyways, right??

nm: I just saw that you're getting the 128i. =)

Xenons. You'll use them every night. Heated seats probably wouldn't get as much use.

I've never understood the appeal of heated seats. It only heats your bum, the rest of you stays cold. Plus, it doesn't take that long to warm a seat with just body heat. Then, when the car warms up, the heated seat makes your butt and legs sweat, even if it automatically switches to a lower setting. We have heated seats in our Honda Odyssey. We never use it.

I hate heated seats.

Had them on our 528iT in Connecticut.

Even on the lowest setting, they make your butt sweat.

I see Xenons as a must have safety feature. Go with those.

What everyone else said!!

- also you can retrofit heaters later if you decided you couldn't do w/o them.

Hands Down - Xenons

You don't want to do a retrofit after the fact. I've been there, and done that.

Xenons are by far an easiest choice since you will use them year round.

Ass heater vs. Better road visibility, a tough choice?

My suggestion would be to put your pants in the oven, a la Kramer, and take it out right before you go out to drive a Xenon equipped 128i.

Both... I'm thinking those might be the only options I put on a Black/Black 128i.

In Texas, xenons...

In North Dakota, heated seats...

In my driveway, BOTH. I wont own a car again without either or navigation...

I've never had a convertible w heated seats but I really want to have 'em for my One-Series ragtop. I live in New England and I'm used to driving convertibles around well into the fall w the top down and the heater on "blast furnace."

I bet I could go top down in mid winter w seat heaters on and wind blocker up if it wasn't snowing or sleeting.
You're either a convertible guy or you're not:eyebulge:

I recently went for a nightime ride w a friend whose Maxima has Xenons, I liked 'em but they aren't IMO an order of magnitude better than Halogens (I was an Early Adopter putting those on my TR-4A. Heated seats are an order of magnitude better than unheated ones especially if you are sitting on leather.

Xenons.
While heated seats are a nice invention, any unnecessary heat to the pelvic region reduces male fertility. This includes laptop computers and heated seats! Which shouldn't come as a surprise, sperm thrive in cold conditions. Just a thought.
