coral red leather? light grey leather?
Hey guys,
This is my first post Anyways, I noticed on my friends '04 nissan that his beige leather on the driver side has turned blue from sliding in and out of his car. Will this happen to other colors such as coral red leather? or possibly light grey? Thanks for your help and I can't wait for this damn car to come out! |

i don't know. i wanted AW on coral red and sports package only. i don't care about the premium package at all. (terracotta also is available with the premium package).
i guess our only options are beige, taupe, gray, and black. that's boring. |

You can get more than one package...
If you want sport, get sport, if you want coral, you'll also have to get premium, or thats what we know as of now, I'm sure everything is still subject to change until the car is released... All leather is going to discolor slightly. My black turns grey and looks grey at times. A good cleaning and some leather conditioner ususally brings it back for a good while... I do have a friend with an e90 (2006 325i sport) he has terra in his car and at 60k, I havnt noticed any major discoloration, but I dont drive it or see it every day... I would not be supprised to find out your friends Nissan is of a lower grade quality of leather. I will probably never own another Nissan again after the issues I had with my `04 Titan, but thats a whole different topic... Lastly, this isnt the first BMW offered with red leather, check out ebay, heck, there is a guy on here somewhere with a very nice e30 sedan with red leather. Looked OEM to me, I think I've just about seen it in every M car offered throughout the years and other non-m's as well. If you find some on ebay with with good pictures, that might give you an idea of how it will age...

I've found that the darker leathers tend not to discolor....in my G I have graphite leather.....so far, after 3 years, the color has remained true....

Maybe BMW will change their minds by the time we can actually order the cars, but I doubt it. They know that the Terra & Coral leather options are going to be popular with people who order their cars, & this is a way to push more pricey options on them. |
