Recommended window tint

Hello chaps (& lady chaps),
I'm collecting my 135 coupe on Wednesday (very exciting) and don't think I ordered tints. I've always ordered with tints and therefore have not ever specified which brand I use. Anyone recommend a brand or dealer in the Northern Beaches of Sydney?

Maybe check with your dealer first? They might charge a premium in comparison to another business but you'll be able to get them to fix it in case anything goes wrong.

I know BBMW get it done in-house and guarantee the quality of the work. When I'm trading the car in down the track they'll know all the work has been done by them too.

The other thing worth remembering is part of the radio antenna is in the rear glass, so if a metallised tint is used it can stuff up your reception.

I don't know if it's the same from every dealer. Do you have tints on urs matty?

Breville I bought my car from Col crawford and they use solace in Brookvale for their tints.

Thanks harpoon, I'm buying mine from Col Crawford too. I just called them and they're putting it on for $500. Roll on Wednesday! I've 'arranged' customer meetings on the central coast and Newcastle so I'll get to start having fun from day one!

That's the same window tint I got added. Not too dark, just perfect IMO.

Hi--welcome to another Northern beaches 135.I normally buy my BMWs from them but this time bought from Canterbury BMW--great experience plus great deal.Keep an eye on this site for date of Southern Highlands Drive Nov.

Don't want to add another tint thread.

But I just have a question to the tint.

You know the window goes up and down when you shut the door. Does it damage the tint on its first day???

Didn't on mine mate. The tint doesn't quite go right to the top (like <1mm from the top).

I am more worry about the bottom?

I wonder if MotorOne is any good. I do know that BMW Melbourne is probably using the same company/same film and the price difference is ~$600 vs $895 from dealership

Don't worry, have been using $200 tint on other cars and they are fine.

Blimmey! I paid $500 from the dealer because I'm lazy, I think it's around $350 normally.

Didn't on mine however was told to take the car home and not to drive it for 48 hours because of this window up/down function.

It killed me not being able to driver the car but want the best tint result.

Alternatively you could have sat in your car for 48 hours ....

Or get in and out via sunroof.
