Coolant error
Has anyone experienced this error? My coolant tank started bubbling over today. Looks like there is a leak in the upper radiator coolant hose, replacing that. Scanned with Carly.

My coolant tank let go on 10/1. I didn't run diag. codes on it when that happened because it was pretty obvious what was wrong. Had it replaced and the system flushed 10/3. Sounds like you may have found a leak. Replace that hose, clear codes, and run the diag. again is what I would do.

I replaced the hose, and cleared the codes. Threw in more coolant/distilled water. It was fine last night during and after my drive. This morning after a drive to work, it seems like it bubbled over again. I checked for codes and got nothing!
I replaced my water pump and thermostat maybe a few months ago. |

Also just bc a part is new doesn't mean the part is good!! Hopefully you have a parts warranty on the water pump. ?

Try bleed procedure then go from there.
Open the hood and remove the radiator cap Key fob inserted, no brake pedal, press Start Driver and Pass air temp controls all the way to max temp Press the defrost button to turn it on Manually adjust the fan speed to the slowest setting (not off) then hold the gas pedal down all the way for 10 seconds. The water pump will begin to pump water slowly at first and faster within a few seconds The water will squirt from a very small opening just under the cap threads in the reservoir If there was any air in the system, this will purge it and will show you that the pump is operational as well. I had to put the cap back on after about 15 seconds as it started to splash out from the force. This should work on any electric powered water pump cars according to the tech |

Are you able to review/log coolant temps with something like MHD or an Accessport?

I bled the system, water pump working, definitely had air in there but the stream was pretty strong. The tank definitely is leaking. Thanks for sending the steps over!
