Adaptive headlights stopped swiveling

I have the switch in AUTO. However, the lights just simply will no longer swivel.

Looking for ideas of what may be the cause.

when they light up do they make their automated check?

go down, and up?

did you change anything near the back side of the headlight to make them stick?

Are you parked while testing it? I think you have to be in motion for them to swivel

The adaptive motors seem to be a bit of a trouble spot for our cars, if they don't move at all when you star the car up, the motor could just be shot.

I'm convinced that mine never worked from the day I got the car new 6 months ago.
In my Lexus is very obvious when they swivel but in the 135 either they are barely moving or they never worked right.

The start up check works (up/down). In my car the rotation is very noticeable. I live on a very dark street and when I exit the driveway you can really see it.

so if the start check up works, seems like its good cause then you would get a caution light on your dash.

another way to see if it works is to put the car in reverse, turn the wheel, and pop it back to Drive, and watch it adjust itself to the steering wheel position.

Do you know what it is that burnt out exactly, and what part they are replacing? It sounds like this might be something good to know for future reference.

Mine works when the car is not moving. Just turn the wheel and I can see it swivel. The non xenon bulb near the grill lights up too.

Lucky you, my dealer wants to charge me $2,000 for replacing the entire headlight, they claim an after market bulb (the bulb for the secondary head light, the one that lights briefly when making a turn) caused the active steering to fail. It sounds like they want to blame anything for not doing the repair, amazing.
