Nathan's Sparkling Graphite 330i Demo
Finally! Got to test drive the 330i in Schaumburg, IL today. This car has an amazing engine. That BMW engine sound is unbelievable! This car is top notch, but it didn't have iDrive, which i was missing. Quality is awesome. I couldn't figure out whether the Logic 7 was good or not, i didn't have a CD.
The handling is superb, acceleration feels like a 545i, i am just speechless. The only two strange things i noticed, was the window and mirror controls on the driver side swoop really low which make it 'wierd' not difficult to get your hand to the controls. The second thing, was the rear seat room; there really isn't any. Now, keep in mind i drive an X5, so i wasn't comfortable at all in the back seat. It almost feels like you have to hop into the back seat because there is a tall lip your leg has to clear before sitting it. The stitching on the leather is SUPERB. I can't wait till we get ours. The car i drove is SG, although they had a Jet Black 325i there as well. SG looked nice in some instances, and then showed off that strange purplish color. It definitely shows dirt, like the black does. Oh well, here are the pics! Last edited by Nathan; 04-28-2005 at 02:50 PM.. |

You're welcome, that's what this site is all about - sharing!
I didn't want to give them back the car, but there were a line of people waiting. I turned off DTC and floored that car, the screeching while turning was awesome. I am sure i put some rubber on the ground. The key was pretty cool, not necessary, but very cool. I am glad they did the buttons in Silver, the brochure shows the buttons as black. There wasn't a time when i felt the car didn't have more than enough power. It may have too much power. The 2006 330i just ROCKS. |

MP3 Player? There's no MP3 player as such. The Standard audio system in the car without iDrive plays MP3 CDs. If you get the iDrive, then the main player in the dash doesn't play MP3 CDs, but the Changer in the back will play MP3 CDs (that's an option).
I didn't have a cable for my iPOD, or i would have tested the AUX input, which is located in the center console. The center console cup holder (when you flip it up) also has a cool (literally) ventilation thing that blows cool air in there, to keep your beverages cool i'd imagine. No coin holders, but i carry mine in a sandwich bag anyways. Nathan |
