Engine power off when changing gears
Hi all,
I have been noticing the last couple of weeks that sometimes, when I change gears using the manual mode on the DCT, I loose some power on the engine. Its the same feel I get when the traction control kicks in but I sure this cant be it since the light doesnt goes on and the speed is high... This occurs when rpms are higher than 5000... any ideas? Thanks It is a N55 with DCT and 17k miles. |

Shift boost reduction. It saves your DCT clutches. IF you haven't got the latest software from BMW, that's your issue. Go get the updated flash and the lag is suppose to be taken care of.

Take it to the dealer. They will tell you.

Thats the problem... at the dealer they tell me that this is the latest software but I know thats impossible. The car is from 2012 and I know there have been updates.... I am in Argentina, I need to tell them every detail, if not they are just going to tell me it has the latest version... (I already did on the latest service). |
