clicking noise when turning right
I had the clicking noise while turning right and since I had to take my car in for the airbag recall I told the dealer about the issue as well. They ended up replacing the front left wheel hub as it had excessive play. As for now the annoying noise is gone. Just heads up for any of you fellow 1ers with the same problem as a possible cure.

I have clicking sounds resonating from the wheels when turning either direction. I thought it was the traction control doing its job?

I've been getting a clicking sound when turning near full lock to the right. I'll have to get this checked out too.

same here, the harder I take a turn, the louder faster it clicks... same exact noise happens when i turn it on and let it sit for a few seconds... it definitely comes from the engine bay... I have noticed this sound since almost the first week I had it. Long ago I asked a bmw tech about it and he said it was probably the lifters.... if anyone has an explination PLEASE share.

That's interesting. I had the same clicking noise. The most common issue was a loose dust shield on the brakes. Mine turned out to be exactly that. The dealer retightened the suspension. However, it pulls left now I'll have to go back to have that addressed.

I had the same problem. Took of the left wheel, caliper, rotor. Checked the dust shield, it seemed fine. Put everything back together and no more clicks. So who knows what exactly fixed it.
