For Extended Maintenance Service and Extended Warranty what are the true BMW MSRP cost?
In November BMW went to a three level Extended Warranty Program. I think Silver (power train only), Gold (everything but electronics) and Platinum (same as new warranty coverage). I was shown a spread sheet indicating my 135i Coupe was in their class B cost column and there were four different time/mile programs I could pick from. These are programs and costs for the Platinum level coverages: 5 year/100,000 miles ($2,850), 6 year/100,000 miles ($3,380), 7 year/70,000 miles ($3,500) and 7 year/100,000 miles ($3,900). They'd knock $200.00 off any of them. So $3,700.00 for 7yr/100,000 mile platinum warranty. Their cost on extended maintenance program was $2,095 for the 135i. Does this jive with what others have seen or is this stuff just all over the place cost wise?
