for you tuned N55 guys here in Europe

How are you guys liking your tunes? Anybody running COBB or is everybody running JB4? Its time I finally order a tune and not surprisingly its between COBB or a JB4. I wanted to see your opinions on how the tunes are holding up during extended high speed runs on the autobahn. I'm not looking for absolute highest HP but just a solid increase in power, reliability with no drama, and smooth predictable power delivery for the Ring and backroads.

I cannot talk to the COBB, but I can JB4. It is awesome so many features on the go right from you dash. Also no prob at all with the tune, just BMW since I need a software upgrade sine my 135i was built in Jun 2010, first ones out.

Also I don't know about the other guys here but I send an e-mail to Terry and he replies with 24 hrs. If you have any problems send him an e-mail with graphs from when you connect laptop to JB and he will break it down and get it right.

I will go JB4 just because of Terry, hands down. Great guy!

I have a JB4 and while it isn't perfect, I'm still happy with the purchase. The N55 tune is still being revised but Terry's customer service is absolute top shelf.

So what is "not perfect" have you just had issues with the beta g5 ISO or also the reg JB4?

I love my ISO. COBB is nice and all if you want to spend the money on it, and is very convenient, but JB4 I believe has top notch customer support, and the handles of it are very easy and tunable depending on what you are running or want to run

I have a jb4 on my 2013 just bc Cobb hasn't released a 2012+ tune yet. I have a few n54 buddies running the cobb. Bolt on for bolt on we are neck and neck in a race...

The ISO mod made things much better, but there's still the occasional low idle stall and the rare "hesitation" when cruising at partial throttle. Nothing that would cause me to uninstall it or consider a different tune. Burger Tuning has a DCT N55 135 now that he's developing on. I trust things will only improve as time goes on.

To the OP I have jb4 on my 2013. Not sure if you have a dct or 6mt but I have a 6mt and have not experienced a stall or low idle drop and its been on for 4 months. Car has 3500 miles.

I have a DCT, as does Wade. I love it at the 'Ring, it's a very interesting technology and I'm glad I tried it, but my next car will have a good old fashioned manual transmission.

I ordered the JB4 but decided to go with Cobb which I installed today. It's rainy so I can't really gauge the impact yet. I have not returned the JB4, so if you decide to go that route, I'll sell you the one that I have; it was never installed. Let me know soonest if you're interested, as I need to return it soon otherwise.

I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the COBB.

Thanks for the input everybody, Mr. Kleen I'm going to have to take you up on that offer to ride along and feel the JB4.

Don't forget Roy that you will need to drive about 500 kms before your tune will make full power. The DME needs to fully adapt to your driving style. Sounds weird but its true.
