BMW Recall - What Loaner Did You Get? :)

2013 X3 28i xdrive!

Wooohhhweee it was nice! Black on Black fully loaded with sport package. The Panoramic roof was pretty sweet, and those LED angel eyes were amazing! I took it off road too. Nothing to extreme, just a loose gravel road that was under construction and it had been raining.

Do they reflash your software when they do the recall? I called BMW Canada and they said I wasn't effected, but when I went into the dealer today they told me that there's a recall on the battery.

I'm wondering what they specifically do besides change the battery connector.

Had my oil changed and battery cable replaced. Received a new X3. I hated the auto shut off so I de-activated every time. I'm not a SUV guy, but I was impressed with the power and handling from a small SUV. BMW's just rule!

Damn, they gave me a X128.Hated the build quality.Wow the difference of power was so obvious.I had it for 2 days and the drive was boring and sedate.The navigation unit was good though[I dont have it in my 135].At the end ..i was glad to get back into my 135i.Difference in built quality...even to the minutest things was so much better in the 135..


I have a feeling that with all the newer gen vehicles ,BMW is going too far with cost cutting measures.It will ultimately hit the brand image. At this rate i might not venture into another BMW in the future. Hope they don't cheapen the 5/7 series.

Damn...All you guys got newer cars as loaners. They gave me a 2011 335d as a loaner. Battery recall plus an oil change took them 4 hours.

Battery recall and oil took 2.5 hours. No loaner that time. Have to go back for a top replacement and will get a loaner for that visit. Wondering what.

Did the battery recall on the wife's 128i cabrio and got an F30 328i with Sport and Premium packages, glacier silver/black leather. Nice car, comfortable, great performance, just not quite the same as my 2013 F30 335i M-Sport. No complaints, though - I only had it overnight and just drove it from/to the dealership about 16 miles away.

I just had the battery cable service done.....took them 2.5 hours. No loaner, just shuttled to and from work since it's only a couple of miles from the dealership.

Took mine in this morning for its 1-year physical.
Driving an '11 335i for the day.
Nice car, a couple observations.
It feels faster than my 135.
What the hell are those little plastic things that get an erection every time I go to put on the seatbelt?
And no cup holders??? Really?

I got a G37X (Multi Dealerships and no availableBMW's). Battery cable fix took 2 hours. All they do is remove the glove box and replace about 1 foot of cable. No software reprograming is necessary.

That's funny because one of the things I wanted fixed was a broken plastic piece that controls the power seat.
They told me that requires a reprogram and they need the car all day. Ugh. No wonder it's so expensive to fix BMW's out of warranty.

I thought the cup holders pop out from the passenger side dash on the 3-series.

The cup holders are below the tray in front of the shifter. Pop the tray out and they are under it. I just had a 328 while my 135 was in for service and thought there were no cup holders until I investigated further.

Just dropped off this morning. Got a beautiful 2013 328i. Dark blue. That auto shutoff is weird!

Dealer is back logged tho and I won't get my 1 back until Tuesday

Got a 135i jet black for mine. Almost a stripper with heated seats and satellite radio but no Idrive.

This one was auto and I'm used to driving my manual. I was pleased nevertheless and punched that sucker every single chance I got.
