Clutch pedal "CREAK"
I have a creak in the clutch pedal when releasing. Its not an audible creak but I can feel it through the pedal and sole of my shoe.
I can feel it when the pedal is about 70% released and just feels like a click at the end of the pedal release.. My car has 22,000km on the dial. Could it be a defective clutch plate.. Any thoughts/anyone else have this creak, before I head of to the dealer? |

Joe it's a Vert... It's meant to creak
Kidding - the only thing i reckon it would be would be the plate. I had one in the Subaru that wore fast and gave the exact thing you're mentioning, but felt like there were rocks in the clutch pedal and would release and depress very unsmoothly. |

Maybe the good leg needs some work mate, or some oil

Thanks for all your concerns about my health..
From my post on the US forum it seems to be a common fault with the clutch return spring either to be replaced or lubricated. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...40#post7576740 http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...39#post7578139 I will inspect tommorrow and spray with some silicon oil and see if this rectifies the creak.. I've had this same problem you describe and took it to the dealer... around 3k's in.
it was a faulty clutch return spring. Quick to fix under warranty. take it in and get it checked out. |
