Long Crank Startup/ Rough Idle
Every now and then, after pressing the ignition, i get a very Long crank before startup which concerns me. I addition, when I'm sitting at a traffic light etc., I have a slightly rough idle while the rps fluctuate slightly up/down. Is this a normal occurance or possibly a HPFP issue? Any other possibilities? Thanks!

If you have a 135i then it can be the fuel pump. They are known/expected to fail and as a result BMW has just issued a warranty extension for all BMW's equipped with the 300hp twin-Turbo six engine. Long crank is a symptom of this.
But, if you drive a 128i then disregard the above. |
