Do you have tire and wheel insurance? That saved me. I ran over some construction junk and ruined both a tire and a wheel. The worst part of it was having to drive on Snows until they got the wheel in. I've only had that low a profile tire for track tires. It doesn't leave room for error. holly |

Before we discovered the wheel was bad I had a loaner from the dealer. I elected to drive on my snows because the wheel took longer to get than the tire. Actually this is the first time a plug hasn't worked adn my puncture was too large to use the goop. |

It is a very slow puncture and i was close to a garage, i managed to get 2.8bar in the tyre and made it the 4 miles home very slowly. I thought it was a leaking valve as the tyre has needed air a couple of times since i picked it up, the car is booked in for its 1200 mile service on Friday and i had hoped for them to check this out and another couple of niggles at the service. The car is going to the dealer today so lets see what they say the outcome is

Guys, I feel your pain. I went past a construction site on my third day of 1M ownership and got a big nail in the tyre . . . less than 200km on the clock!!!!
Luckily it was a repair not a new tyre, but I was PISSED.

Drywall screw
Just found a drywall screw in the middle of the tread of my driver's side rear tire.
I have the insurance, but I suspect they will want to 'fix' it. Should I let them just plug it if that is what they want to do? My last one (diff car) was more cut and dry because it was too close to the sidewall. Thoughts?
