N55 Real downpipe CEL fix in the works anywhere?

Currently have a JB3 with a Berk Downpipe. I know the CANbus tool can delete the code, but the N54 actually has a real downpipe fix so that no lights ever get thrown to delete.

Anyone know if there is a real downpipe fix in the works for the N55?

I believe the N55 Stage 2 (JB4) will automatically discard codes related to exhaust modifications like the current N54 JB4.

I think it's being beta tested, most up-to-date details are here:

Right, but that isn't a DPfix, it just clears out codes. A real fix means the car never gets a code to delete and would pass a OBD2 emissions test like the BMS DPfix part.

A catless car running a JB4 alone will not pass a OBD2 emissions inspection.

yes it will pass for any state that does a OBDII emissions test with a true DPfix (ala BMS N54 fix). Neither I nor Vlaze lives in California

Do they just plug into your OBD-II port and that's it?

In CA they put you on a dyno and stick a probe up your poor cars exhaust.

sorry for bringing up an old thread but im just wondering if the JB4 tune has a true downpipe fix or if it just deletes the light off the dash?? I live in Massachusetts where they dont probe. They just do the OBD test so i am a little confused whether or not i can pass with just the tune and no BMS dp fix..

Thanks guys

Auto-clears. You will not pass a OBDII emissions test with just the JB4.

The Auto Clear deletes all codes so you'll never know if something else is wrong.

If you have an N55, your only two options are to get a:

CANTOOL or upgrade your JB3 N55 to a JB4 N55 Stage 2.

It's not a fix necessarily as it will only remove the annoying SES light on your dash.
