The guys at COBB Surgeline here in Portland recommended it. They said it was the only stuff that really works.

not sure if you'll see any gains on a stock tune, but I did use it with the jb4 and saw some gains. while it wasn't as much as straight 100 octane, it was somewhat close. this was measured on a drag strip Where with 100 octane I pulled 12.5 and with torco I pulled a 12.7. straight 91 octane with map 1 got me a 12.9

It's simply race fuel concentrate so it does work nicely. If you get tuned for a specific blend you will see the best results. Great for fighting knock...

Dyno'd it years ago on my 335i and picked up 12whp with a tune, it definitely works as advertised!

Its quite a bit cheaper than that by the 6 pack at Amazon, particularly if you have free shipping with Amazon prime. I've not actually used it in my 135, but i do have another vehicle with a 12.5 compression ratio that it is definately effective in. I just assumed that it wouldn't do anything in the 135 designed for street gas but now I may have to try it.

Since I only have access to 92 octane here in the pacific NW I was considering using it with the COBB 93 octane map when I get my access port.

You will get nothing out of it stock. The whole point in running race gas, torco, E85, Meth, ect is to increase octane and prevent knock. In doing so you can tune for more boost, fuel, and timing to get more power.

Adding more octane to a car that's stock tuned for 93 octane will net you no more power than 93 octane.

You more than likely will not gain anything from a stock car... with the exception of more consistant power. Back to back pulls it wont pull as much timing...

Ive used torco a LOT on my previous cars and have had outstanding results. I would only put it in a stock car if I was maybe going to do like an all day track event or something... but once youre tuned with it is when it shines...

Also I wouldn't use this product regularly. Maybe once a month or something like that. The main ingredient in Torco and other octane boosters is MMT or Methylcyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl.

This substance is know to really foul up your plugs, O2 sensors, and cats and who knows what else.

Some stock cars, (Like my 2011 5.0 Ford Mustang) had an adaptive ECU. (our cars do not...) I could, from the factory, run anything from 87-93 octane.... and it would adapt. Tuners quickly found out that it also adapts very well to race fuel... and torco. So cars that have adaptive ECU's like the 5.0... will... do very well on a "stock" tune. But for our cars, I still stick with the advice I gave above.

While true, the USA is one of the only countries I believe that actually stopped using it in their fuels for this reason. But it dosnt actually harm the motor in any way. Many, Mnay other countries still use this additive to increase octane and its perfectly fine...

Unless you are knocking, I wouldn't spend the money on that. Get a tune and be happy.
