128i makes clicking noises when changing gears

just wondering if anyone else knows weather or not this is normal. bought a 128i 1500 miles brand new as of 3 weeks ago and ever since I got it, ive noticed it makes mechanical clicking noises underneath the car whenever I change gears or step on or release the gas peddle. Anyone know if this is normal or not? cant seem to get a straight answer from the dealers ive talked too.

Do you have a manual or auto?

On my manual 135i, I notice that I get a funny (kind of like a clicking) noise when I depress the clutch while 1st gear is engaged. I can only hear it if the radio is off and it's not very noisy outside. Doesn't make any noise in any other gear or when I step on/off the gas, though.

I've never driven or been in any auto that make an audible clicking noise. Maybe you could test drive another 128i to see if the noise is specific to your car?

Maybe it's all the extra power from your hi-po intake.

If you're taking the time to talk to the dealer about it, then make an appointment to have a tech look at it.
NO, it's not normal to have ticking sounds when the gears change.
BTW, you mean when you ask the auto trans to make the gear change.
Does it clickity clack when in full auto mode?
Either way, get it looked at.

I have this on my car as well (130i manual).

To me is sounds like the dual mass flywheel taking up as you pull away.

I had an E46 330i (again manual) and it did the same thing.
