Sounds and looks real this time. I too have been a sceptic but this look to be more than a rumor.

Engine power output is 225kW = 306HP (metric; e.g. used in continental Europe), or 302hp (non-metric; e.g. used in US, UK, Australia, etc).

330HP uptuned engine will be featured in 335si, while 335i will get this 306HP engine.

yup, it's all just a matter how you convert the units but ultimately it's the same thing...except for the 335si, of course.

335i is a 3-series with a standard N54 engine.

335si is a 3-series with more up-tuned N54 engine, and optional ZSG gearbox - supposedly coming a bit later after E92 launch.

Like Z4 3.0i and Z4 3.0si.

As you can see BMW is very imaginative with labeling: using different labels for same engines; eg. 325i = Z4 3.0i, or 330i = Z4 3.0si

From what I've heard 335i is definitely coming to US, 335si not US confirmed yet (could hurt M3 sales, and US is M3's largest market by far) - while other markets are getting it.

But nothing official still.

How about ‘Twin Turbo’?

(although that might remind you of a 911)

Where are you getting this info, and are these confirmed and official by BMWNA?

Clarification.

Both the 335i and 335si will have the turbo, but the "si" will be tuned for higher ouput?

True.

But it is not known yet US will get the 335si or not. European markets will.

I pray for the SI arrival in the U.S. Please, give us ZSG. Please. I wonder - will the other SMGs currently offered in the M models be affected by ZSG? Will there be ZSG I, ZSG II, etc.?
