WoW! Nice track. That track was Bill Scott's dream track. Little bits from tracks across the globe. I esp like the mini 'Ring carosel part.

I used to teach at FATTs. We used to have a blast there. Teaching the skid pad was my favorite events. I used to do all the club events there. I miss that. Now I have my Autobahn though!

Is Bruce Reichel still the Chief instructor there? I know Bill Scott died recenty. Bill used to make his living teaching DoD classes to gov officials & special forces. What makes Summit Point s special is it one of the few driving schools to have a track(3 circiuts) a skid pad AND a gun range and shooting (fire arms) school. The front straight away on the original circiut doubles as a a runway landing strip! They have three tracks there now. Summit Point Raceway, Jefferson and this new shenandoah circuit.

Thanks for the cool video.

bye,
David

hi David,
the shenandoah circuit is dope. you are right about inspiration from different tracks. carousel from the nurburgring and the cork screw from laguna seca. not sure about bruce though. this was my first time there. great trivia regarding the track's history. thanks! maybe they should start a class teaching shooting and performance driving at the same time. kind of like the cross country/shooting event in the winter olympics. LOL!

This new "shenandoah circuit" it is located between turn one (where the skid pad is) of the original SPR (2.0 mile ten turn) and the Jefferson circiut (9 turns) correct?

Bill Scott also made alot of money in the Apple Bizz. Actually he still sells his Apples to Wash DC grocery stores! Evey fall I used to buy some of his fastest apples of the world and send them to friends. They even came in a nice wooden box! SPR apples. lol

Ever hear... of the US Army's special forces(SF) "Red Cell". These guys trained at Summit. No one really knows much about them - atleast the people I run into! They are the elite of the elite - of the SF. They are the SF that would "test" our US bases(military) and top secret stuff around the USA. They would break into Nukes and Weapon storage facilities - just to see where we were weak! Realy interesting stores we got to hear - by hanging out at FATT events.

bye,
David
