HP Autowerks Customer N54 135i w/ Berk Technology Street Performance Exhaust
Just installed a Berk Technology Full Street Performance Exhaust on a customer's 135i (n54) with stock downpipe.
Pictures will be up shortly but for now here is a video. -Tyler Last edited by HP Autosport; 02-11-2011 at 05:54 PM.. |

One of your resonators on the midpipes is touching the heatshield...this is where rattles and complaints about noises come from due to poor design and R&D.

This is not the first Berk exhaust we have installed and I have one on my personal 135i, the exhaust pipes are closer to the heat shield due to the larger diameter pipes used, but they are not touching the heat shield by any means. How did you come to that conclusion? I hope not just by looking at the photos!

Yes by looking at the pictures and utilizing common sense. Exhaust components are not fixed in place, and seeing how the left resonator sits so close (one picture shows it if not touching then very darn near), the chances of contact are extremely high.
But hey if you say it doesn't happen then I'm wrong I just wouldn't buy it for myself. [QUOTE=HP Autowerks;9035944][QUOTE=1SerieStud;9034785]One of your resonators on the midpipes is touching the heatshield...this is where rattles and complaints about noises come from due to poor design and R |

Just installed mine last week and they rattle like hell and they look just like the ones in the pic. SO you are correct. It so annoying. Probably going to end up taking it off

interesting. I have the Berk mids on my N54 and they do not make any contact whatsoever. Did you install that mounting clamp that sits about halfway back?
