<Teaser> Custom work for Performance Bumper
Picked up my new bumper last week and made a custom splitter over the weekend. Its now in LTBMW's hands for paint....so looking forward to it
Please forgive the crappy phone pic. I took it late at night after I finished up the splitter. What do you think? Update: <01/25/2012> LTBMW finished the paint work last week. They did an amazing job and their color match is dead on. Today, StarShield Armor wrapped the bumper in their clear film and threw in a few other wraps around the car for me. If anyone with a performance bumper needs it wrapped, they have trained installers around the country ready with templates. In fact, they were the first company to come out with the 1M template so all 1addicts should be covered After final touch ups on the splitter, I decided to go with a black spray paint. Wrapping it in vinyl was a no go. Hopefully the plastic primer works as well as the guy at Lowe's advertised. Official release of the finished product to follow. Heading to VMR's studio in Anaheim for a photo shoot with their new 18" V718s fitted. Last edited by RWolf10; 02-11-2012 at 08:02 PM.. Reason: updated |

Nice performance bumper! Did you use some type of molding material to make your own front spoiler?

thanks, me too!
thanks! hopefully soon we'll meet up for another canyon run or something next week it should be installed and ready for a shoot at your studio Quote:
no molding material, just a thick high density plastic i cut to shape. i'll most likely vinyl wrap the splitter black or carbon like my roof. |

just got word that my sponsor Star Shield Armor wants to apply their clear bra film to this bumper too!
how long should i wait after paint till i clear bra it? LTBMW is using PPG's new eco friendly water based paint. i figured, it was too hard to see on that txt. yeah, they do legit work. the euro plate is definitely staying! i've been running it for three years on my 1ers and no plans to stop now Last edited by RWolf10; 01-11-2012 at 05:13 PM.. |

you never know, it just might
definitely. the bumper itself looks great, don't get me wrong, but it needed a touch of something on the lip without the cost of $400 a piece. |

I had this idea too. Decided that I'd just end up destroying the splitter the same way the bottom of my bumper is messed up now
