Eisenmann Race

a friend dropped off a full eisenmann race exhaust yesterday for me to try and Ive just had it fitted this morning.

initial impressions are that it sounds fantastic and as its been on another car its already coked up nicely. engine definatley seems to rev more freely, however there is drone about 2k. will have to see how i get on but above that and on full chat the sound is awesome!

The drone is more than stock however I am running it with the soundpipe. I will take it off and try with the std midpipe!

Some of the drone is in the oem midpipe so replacing the Eisenmann center section with the oem one, may or may not solve the drone issue.

True... Install the N55 mids if you are concerned with drone..
Will eliminate about 99% of drone.. I just have it around 2K to 2.1K, if that and only under load..

Harold, I have the Berk midpipes and Eisenmann race muffler. Pretty heavy drone between 1.8K - 2.3K rpm. Is the N55 midpipe more effective at reducing drone than the berk midpipe?

Then the drone may be in the Eisenmann. Let's try different combos. Have you tried the stock mid pipe with the Eisenmann?

I have been driving with the stock midpipes for a while now and although the drone is still there it is much better than with the soundpipe.

I would like to have the n55 midpipes for the fact that it would be more free flowing but I wouldn't want any increase in drone than I alread have. Can anyone provide feedback on this?

By the way the tail pipes in my picture are now set further back as the connecting pipe did not align properly on the first install. It now aligns perfectly with the rear valence!

I haven't tried putting the stock midpipe back on. Might try that soon.

You have been holding out on me man. I didn't know you had that set up. I'll have to come by and check it out. I want more sound and that was going to be my Christmas present to myself this year.

been driving with stock midpipe, I have the n55 in the garage but been busy and too lazy to put it on, will install it tonight.
With the eisenmann exhaust compare to oem, drone is much louder with eisenmann, so hopefully n55+eisenmann is better
w/stock midpipe is just too much drone for my liking thats why I order the n55 last month. Will let you all know tonight.

after replacing with n55 mid n driving for few days, the drone in lower gear is pretty much gone, but in 4,5,6 gear, the drone is there when under throttle, but at cruise speed any rpm no drone which I thought is a good improvement over stock.

I think most confuse drone with exhaust note..

Have the exact same setup with virtually zero drone 99% of the time..

not confuse, 1800rpm to 2300rpm accelerate then you can hear it, after 2400 no more, I have it in the GTR also when I replace aftermarket mid,.
