Quick question - boot opening
Hi all,
I was with a friend the other day who has a 3 year old 5 series. As he walked to his scar he held the "boot open" button down on his remote and it opened completely. When I hit the button the boot just opens but I have to lift it manually. Is this how it is mean to be? Seems like it would be a useful feature when you have your arms full.

Yeah, it's a luxury they didn't include for us I guess. When I first opened up my trunk, I expected it to automatically go up too.

Maybe it would do this if we increased the gas pressure in the boot lid struts? There are companies who rebuild these struts.
