128 now... What's next?

So I\'ve had my 128 now for over two years and it has proved to be quite reliable. I love the car, but unfortunately my lease is ending in July. Now my dilemma is I recently moved to a colder weather climate, Blacksburg, Va; and I need a little bit more car up here. I know I could get snow tires and I\'d for the most part be fine, but I\'m looking to change cars. Now I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions for the next car? I want to stay within BMW bc I do like the brand but that\'s not everything. For me, a few cars that have caught my eye to be my next car are the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, Range Rover LR2 or Evoque, or possibly an X3. Anything else I should look at?
Thanks

I love BMW's but don't the X3/X5 constantly get beaten and trashed in reviews?

Those are nice/full of winning. Reliable On and Off road rigs. However, its tough to find one with rear LSD and manual trans.

Ehh.. FJ cruiser isn't my style. I'm looking for something that can handle winter, but is still a luxury car. Maybe X6? That just crossed my mind

So I just looked and optioned out a F-150 Raptor, 335xi, an X3, and X6. Liked the raptor but interior is so crappy. Prob favorite was the 335. AWD would seem to help, I just gotta drive careful.
Thoughts on my car options?

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

Yes they make a FJ with a 6mt. I traded my 07 6mt FJ for my 135.

If you are not going to go off road and live in place where they take care of the roads then the 335xi should be fine.

FJ looks like a Lego-toy. Since you're really not brand-concerned and just want luxury, any of the cars you listed would be fine, except the Ford. Even with all they hype they are still jumped up econo-boxes inside.

I lived in Blacksburg for a long while. There are a bunch of great driving roads in the area, and the forest roads are a blast too. You get an unpredictable amount of snow. Depends on where you are, but clearance was an issue for us, so our Subaru outback was great. In the BMW brand, I think a 3 series Xdrive would be good. X3/Q5 if you want hauling space.

Thanks for the response db. Well right now I'm on campus and I stay within a ten minute drive of the usual places I go. I'm most likely looking into a 335xi optioned out to my specs. Just wanted to make sure it'd be suitable up here in winter. Now if it's alot of snow, I won't drive. But by next year I'll hopefully have a house in the area with a garage. Lol hopefully.
