You're not kidding. I brought my car in the other day for the battery recall and was waiting for a tech to move an M6 that was parked out front so I could hear the glorious V10. As it drove off (at slow, parking lot speeds of course) I thought "meh." Seriously, at idle I don't think anything sounds as good as the N54/N55 with the PE. In a tunnel or parking garage it's downright ferocious.

Just to be clear, the Performance Exhaust does not have the flap, correct? If so what happens to the actuator or the hose from the actuator?

The line needs to be closed so it plugs into a special stud on the muffler where the connection port on a regular muffler would be.

maybe +1 HP but it sounds mahhhvelous.
i had one from port, kept me entertained for about 3 months, then i went with berk race axle back...kept me entertained for about 1 week, so i deleted my resonator in the mid pipes...that kept me entertained for about 1 month...berk mids...3 months...now having custom quad made and putting in catless DP...rumble city |

I have a 2010 135, just recently went with n55 mids and PE. I also have ppk2. Before the exhaust upgrades the ppk2 seemed about the same as my previous 135 without ppk2,,,after the upgraded exhaust,,,besides the awesome sound,,,a bit loud at times,,,performance wise I can definitely tell a boost..low end throttle response is much better and spool time is much less. no dyno yet but when I go cobb ill do before and after...0-80 seems quicker,,, when I hit 3500rpms wot it is much faster then before,,,my opinion is ppk2 isn't worth anything without reducing some back pressure

Just got the PE put on yesterday. The sound is fantastic, but I lost a bit of power, kind of frustrating I wonder if they did the install correctly. It feels like I dropped 25-30hp. There is a funky smell to it , but I don't mind it so far . As far as volume goes, It sounds quite loud WOT.

No worries, I'm glad you enjoy it. I picked up a PE from another member but without the y-pipe so I'm debating on the N55 mid pipes, DL or just the axle back.

Can you elaborate? Did you try 0-60 runs or something ? I noticed a little bump in mid range torque, could that explain the feeling of having less power in higher RPMs? |

I have the Y pipe installed and it sounds awesome. The only drone is at lower RPMs. WOT sounds great and the drone occurs only a small % of the time I'm driving unless I'm in heavy traffic.

There have been a few who have said they felt a significant LOSS in HP after installation of the PE system. Eurotuner did a test and found after numerous runs that it did in fact lose HP each and everytime they dynoed it and couldnt explain it either.
Maybe someone can link the story |
