When you're not used to rwd:never

When you want to play:rain/snow(to get away)

Keep it pressed for a few seconds.

Be careful, drive safely

DTC is only necessary when its snowing.

If you press the DTC button for about 5 seconds, DTC and DSC is switched off. This is only recommended if you want to have some fun with your car in an empty parking lot.

For all other situations, I would just leave the DSC on and DTC off.

Echo that - DSC off (push button once briefly) to be used in snow/sand/mud to get unstuck; allows more play on rear tires. Otherwise keep it on at all times.

5 sec push only in parking lot (empty) or/and after you have taken the BMW driving course.

I haven't tired a BMW with DSC off. Is it hard to control?

so this the first time I get to drive in snow, not much anyway all the roads are nice. I try press the DTC button, the DTC on dashboard light up, and there is a ! triangle next to D, what that mean?

so is DSC always on, but DTC is on only if you press it?

Am I mistaken or does turning off DTC and DSC just make the car drive like a standard old RWD car? If so, it doesn't seem like it's such a terrible thing to turn off. While most the time there would be no reason not to use it, it doesn't seem like it would be some dangerous thing if it was off.

Thats correct DSC is always on. if you switch it off by pressing the DTC button for 3 seconds then the DSC light comes up on the dash.

DTC does the opposite. The light comes on when you got it on.
