Stupid question: you dont actually pay until the car shows up right?

Yes, no discount or mark-up...MSRP all the way. I paid $500 to hold the first allocation spot months and months ago. Now that the order has been placed and a production number given another $1000 will be charged to my card. When the car comes in if I accept it I pay the remaining amount minus the $1500. If I do not accept it, I am out the $1500 and can walk from the deal.

Nice!

Did you sign a non-refundable agreement? If you don't like it they better give you your money back otherwise you would not being another car from them would you.

I had to...Tacoma, Seattle and Bellevue would only take my name down and put me on a waiting list. I did not want to risk or trust their waiting lists for a first allocation car, plus I was worried they would charge dealer mark up. So, I called Yakima and Tiho was great, signed a Not to Exceed MSRP agreement and took my money to guarantee first allocation. It was worth it to drive over the mountains for that. If you have not ordered yet, I recommend him.

Yes, we will have to get together and maybe do a Boeing Autocross or SIR track day.

Well I service in Seattle, and I was first on their list. If I have issues I'll talk to him for sure. I'm just trying to keep the relationship intact. When are they telling you you'll see your car? May or something like that, or sooner.

The build is scheduled for Feb. 10-12, so the dealer said they should have it here ready for me by end of the first week in April.

I talked with two guys from BMW Seattle, they were nice and I wish I could have gotten it from there because that is for sure where I will take it for service, but they would not take my deposit. Matthew Goldstein was really nice to talk to. Do they give loaners at Seattle BMW?

I understand. Yes they give loaners.[I had a new 328i coupe a few weeks ago] And I have service rep that I can refer you to who is the best IMO. She also has been there for years.
