is anyone running the stage 2 + fmic on 93 octane agressive map? if so what are your experiences, and how hard do you have to push it for the boost to kick in?

i want to know people's personal experience, not a dyno test, i can get that from cobb's website. I want to know things like boost, turbo lag, etc., not what a piece of paper. Reason i'm asking is because i just updated to this and it's very different from the v203 maps, and i'm not feeling the boost in the rpms like i was used to, so know i want to know where the boost is felt now and how hard i have to push to feel it. I used to feel it if i was everyday driving, now it seems on this aggressive map i have to race at every light to feel a boost

Stage 2 uses linear throttle mapping and most people aren't a fan of it in that respect. The car will definately be faster and make more power it's just going to feel different. With the linear mapping you just need to be more aggressive with the throttle.

Basically, your throttle response is a lot better with the agressive map. Most times I barely floor it to get to where I want. Unlike stage 1 with the initial jump at low end, you feel it all the way through and more at 5000 RPMs. I don't have a turbo lag. I'm not sure if this is a better response...

Still in progress, but with no major updates, sorry! It is a completely different ECU than the N54 motor cars, so it's like starting from scratch in a reverse engineering sense. We are working on it though and we will provide updates once we have some bigger news.

First lets see if they can do something, after lets talk about the price. With all those talks about how hard cracking the N55 his, I start to wonder if the task is simply impossible for them.

If the stage 1 for the N55 is available by/or near the time I pick my car up in late May, I will pick the AP up. I loved it in my Subaru, and I'm sure it is great in the BMW.

I've had mine in with map 0 on & they don't say anything, but i'd advise against it. I only had my third tail light replaced that day. I usually uninstall the whole thing when going in for even regular service.

if you're on the newest firmware that clears the code that used to be stored when the AP was installed, you should be OK I would think...

State Inspection software queries the state of about a dozen "monitors" through your ODB-II port.
Each of those "monitors" monitors a specific parameter in your engine and report a PASS or FAIL condition. Any FAIL condition would trigger a light in your dashboard. As long as you don't have a warning light, the State Inspection software couldn't care less about what version engine management software (OEM or not) you're running. In the same way that they don't care what coffee can exhaust you've installed, as long as what comes out of it meets emissions requirements. And before anyone else asks... if you have a light and use a tool like PEAKE to reset it just before going to inspection you still won't PASS. The reason is... once the FAIL state is stored, each monitor has a very specific routine that it follows in order to evaluate the condition it's monitoring before it will change to PASS. For example, you might have to drive at a constant speed for X number of miles, with temperatures within Y and Z. If the fault condition doesn't reoccur, then it's a PASS. But then again, if you had a definitive faulty component (not an occasional misfire), chances are the fault condition would occur again after your reset.
