I would have never expected so many people to know this is a "1M" and that it's limited edition, etc... NYC is a pretty 'social' place though and people like to talk a LOT. lol. |

...when you trade in your GTR (because its not a mt) to get a 911 with mt as daily driver with the 1M so you don't put too many miles on the 1M.

Funny experience the other day, went to a business meeting & meet with the supplier, he turns round & says... I keep seeing this beautiful orange BMW in your area with pumped guards, quad exhaust & the owner is not afraid to give the car WOT... Have you seen it? He asks me.... Looks sick & sounds awesome... Blah blah, went on for a good 10 minutes... My reply, is it the same as that one just there (pointing at my car) .... Needless to say the guy. "Lost his shit"!

When I came out of my favorite coffee shop this morning a guy stopped me as I was getting into my VO 1M and told me he and his wife had seen my car a year or two ago parked outside the coffee shop and that his wife was so taken by it that she had her Scion painted VO and got aftermarket wheels like mine.
Quite a compliment. |

At a shopping mall near closing time a granny saw me entering my car, came to me and said:
"This orange color is the best I've ever seen on a car - Really nice." Weird scene. No, we did not exchange phone numbers.

When you pull up to a strip club at 1:30am on a Monday night and the guys there are more interested in talking about the 1M than what's on stage...
Also this month: Gas station thumbs-up x 2 Lime Rock Orange M3 props x 1 Skater kid holla x 1 Drive-by stares: too many to mention People call it a "unicorn" apparently. |
