Is a Diff from a 135i plug and play into an m235i?
Dumb question.
Does anyone know if a large pumpkin Quaife LSD from an E82/135i easily transfer over to a M235i? Just looking at options.

Saw a Blue Estoril lowered M235i with M accents at the Club meet today, and got the bug ... LOL ... not looking to bail just yet ... That would mean I would need to say goodbye to lots of goodies on the car. My 135i is paid for too, so would need to move to lease payments, so to make the transition "affordable", would need to trade in my 135i. My 135i has given me lots of giggles and wow moments lately. Im up to the third iteration of my PTF custom stg2 agressive w/94Oct tune. Pushing over 420ft-lbs of torque with a Quaife 3.46 final drive ratio is certainly a lot of fun and scary at times ... Ive got Swift R-Spec springs and Bilsten B8 dampers (back-ordered) lined up for my 135i. I hopefully will be happy with the results, and hang on to my little pocket rocket for another year if not more...

Harold at HPA confirmed that the large pumpkin LSD from my 135i is in fact plug and play in the M235i...

Fwiw realoem does not show a match between the diffs on the 135 and 235.

Even if the part #'s dont match, I think as long as input + output shaft attachments, and pumpkin size are identical, you're golden.
For example - you might be aware about my approach - I bought a pristine 3.46 final drive large pumpkin (bolded ring gear) from a 2007 335i sitting in a salvage yard in Florida, and got it converted by HPA in California to a Quaife LSD, and got it shipped to Quebec, Canada. I finally had my 3.08 final drive "welded" large pumpkin replaced on my 2011 135i, with this bolted 3.46 final drive "bolted" Quaife LSD. I would trust Harold at HPA, knows what he's doing, if he says the pumpkins with proper final drives are inter-changeable... When I did my LSD conversion on my 6-speed manual 2011 135i, I chose to go from 3.08 to 3.46 for a little more kick.

Ask Harold at HPA, but it would make sense that this is possible.
