My new BMW 135i : ) (exterior build diary)
Hi guys,
So i have recently acquired an 08 135i m sport coupe, and its Awesome, genuinely the best car i have ever driven, and i don't say that lightly having just come from an 02 renault laguna expression : ) So before i bought the car i spent a great deal of time trawling through these forums gathering as much information as possible, which proved invaluable in my final selection (HPFP issues, injectors, rear light seals), so thank you for openly sharing all of your experiences and knowledge. Anyway, I really like the look of the car in black, so i am going to be going for a blacked out look, not to extreme and not in a way that would loose the natural lines and break up points of the vehicle, just simply touches, which could be easily altered if not as aesthetically pleasing to the eye as anticipated. I am working along the idea of a colour chart so having a primary (black), secondary (grey - badge sections, brakes, diffuser) and then complimentary colour (white - badge sections). Notably i wont be touching any engine components as the car has a full service history and i opted for an extended insured warranty so wouldn't want to void that. I am doing the following: EXTERIOR > Black kidney grille > Carbon fibre roundels > Carbon fibre alloy centre caps > Windows slightly tinted (already been done by previous owner) > Alloys refurbished and painted black (Already done) - Pic attached > Spacers, getting measured tomorrow for suitable sizes > Professional detailed and paint work done > Wheel hubs cleaned and sprayed black INTERIOR: > boston black leather throughout so leaving as is. Here is a photo of the car as it is now: Alloys painted: I will upload more pictures as the work develops, I will be fitting the grille, spacers and hopefully badges tomorrow. |

Car with:
> Gloss black alloys > rear tinted windows > Carbon badges all around > Matt black kidney grilles > Painted wheel hubs > Detailed Just need to get some spacers and possibly change from run flats to decent tyres. |

Glad I live in a place that does not use front license plates. I kills the look of the front end.

I'd spend some serious time cleaning up that engine bay!

The xenon lights are an option in some markets, including on the 1M when it was available.

Until I saw that engine pic I thought your were a 128i bsn to be a 135i. Its crazy how badly BMW nickel and dimes you on these options that should come standard.
