Mounting time Alpha-N diffuser and fron splitters

Hi guys,

I need your help with something.

I mounted Alpha-N diffuser and front splitters at a BMW dealer the other day.

They charged me €460 just to have the parts installed.

I read in other threads something like 10min to install the diffuser.

Those of you that installed Alpha-N diffuser and front splitters can you please let me know how long it took you shop to remove the old diffuser andmount the Alpaha-N diffuser + front splitters ?

On top of that they left black glue around the front splitters, which they said they will remove in couple of weeks when it has hardened. I am suspicious though, but lets see next week.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jakob,

Of course you realize that you have to post pictures!

Wrt your question, I can only answer it indirectly as I don't have the alpha-N diffuser. However removing and installing my OEM diffuser was indeed a ~10 minute job (with car on a lift). So assuming all aftermarket diffusers are OEM bolt-on, I'd say the charge should have been closer to 460 Kroner rather than €.

Alpha-N products are terrible. My splitter had bad weave and they wouldn't replace

I have the front splitters but I used 3M tape. Probably an hour start to finish including prepping the area, installing the tape, and affixing. In reality it took me 2 hours because the splitter needed a little trimming with a dremel and the holes on the bottom didn't line up with the holes on the aero pan as intended. But if I didn't have to make those tweaks it would be about an hour. It's been about a year and they are holding nicely. Despite my wife's attempt to destroy them by running up against a parking curb. They are slightly cracked but secure to the front bumper. She doesn't borrow my car anymore.
