CP on 2012 builds
ive heard charge pipes on builds was an updated design. any truth to this? has anyone with 2012 build had their CP fail?

I have a very late 1M (May-June 2012) and I've noticed a couple weird things with my CP, especially because I came from a '09 135i.
First thing is I bought a Turbosmart Dual Port kit which is built for our engine and it actually wouldn't fit! For some reason the BOV closer to the throttle body would hit the 'sound generator' and couldn't click in freely. I contacted Turbosmart and they were baffled. They said out of the few hundred kits they had sold I was the only one to have that problem. They have great customer service though and even machined a custom plug to fit into the sound generator pipe so I could remove it. The other thing is it looks like my CP has some sort of resin around the throttle body connection which I don't think my 135i had. I'd be interested to know if you find any more info on this.
