I have been having difficulty finding a 128i convertible with my preferred options. Having a manual transmission is non-negotiable and sport suspension and sport seats are strongly preferred. I have a moderate preference for a clean title and dark interior (black or red) over lighter colors. I'm probably fine with any color other than cashmere silver, which is too bad because there have been a couple I would have purchased but I couldn't get over that color. I would prefer on odometer with less than 70k miles. My price range is whatever fair market value is for any particular combination of years and mileage, but I strongly prefer to find a car under $17k. I am willing to travel but the closer to Northern Virginia the better. Thanks!

I'm checking the southeast and everywhere else.

I test drove the car from the Craigslist ad. It has a rebuilt title and is actually the subject of a separate post I made in another sub forum here. Other than the title, that car has everything I want (even the wheel swap). Ugh, so frustrating!

Thanks for finding this... I've scoured Craigslist ads in New Jersey, but it seems I missed this one as it is listed as "128" as opposed to my search term being "128i"

I'm not desperate enough yet to immediately buy a car that would prompt me to swap the steering wheel, seats and suspension, but I will keep an eye on this car (and others like it) in case in comes to that. Thanks again!

I noticed that car possibly as early as when it was advertised for sale online, but my wife immediately shot it down for the car combining a red interior and blue exterior. I cannot say I'm crazy about the combination myself, but I was open-minded about the car. Ultimately, my wife shut me down on it.

This car looks to have everything you want but the interior I guess....maybe just get it and wait for someone that wants to swap interior .......red interior is a much desired item

I definitely haven't ruled out the car... I'm just waiting to see if the dealer lowers the price a bit, as it seems a little high to me.
