re finished my LM reps

Powder Coat is named "lollipop red"

I feel like this is going to be slightly controversial or a love/hate thing but I'm really happy with the results and got a great deal on them. Still need to do something with roundels and i have one other "red inspired" piece I'd like to get on within the next few months or so

I kinda like them...

Maybe if I was doing it I would have left the barrels polished?

the wonderful Ohio Department of Transportation provided enough salt this year to ruin the finish on my wheels (mostly the lip) so that was the bulk of the reason for powdercoating.

i had talked with a few companies but the LM reps are monoblock design so people weren't comfortable taping the wheel to get the two colors...and I didn't want a hard line between powders.

You are right on with what I was originally thinking but ended up going full color, new chrome studs around the wheel and chrome center caps. That and there's an originality in doing the whole wheel--so many euro vehicles go polished lip and colored centers on BBS's

Which reps are they? Do you mind sharing the size/offset and tire size?

Looks good!

----

EDIT: After doing a little searching, I found your post with the following:

EuroTek LM Reps
FRONT: 18x8.5, 35et offset with 225/40/18 tires
REAR: 18x9.5, 42et offset with 255/35/18 tires

Do you know if they offer those same wheels without a gunmetal center? I'm looking for something fully polished.

I bought mine from BavX and they only sold them in the "diamond black" finish (gunmetal) but the wheel brand itself, Eurotek, is manufactured by MRR Wheels. I would check for other distributors or contact them directly

I dig it!... yeah I am partial to the polished lips as well, but the all-red looks cool too. Hell, if you ever get borred, you can always run a white TA stripe around the outer lip, and it would break up the read/black... not to metion flow with the colors of the car.

Gotcha, I'll look into it.

Do you rub? Did you have to roll/pull your fenders at all?

I did rub slightly, not on stock suspension unless it was a pretty significant bump/dip in the road. On the coils, to be at the height I am now, any passenger around the 200# mark and me (190#) would rub pretty bad so I rolled my fenders and I'm clean and clear. I actually measured the "roll" and I only took roughly 3/16 to 1/4 inch off the inside lip by bending up and it clears everything fine. Not necessarily a full roll (didn't want to stress the paint/fender any more than necessary)

Good to know! Was this on all 4 corners, or just up front/in back?

Looks good! I personally don't like all the red, but I understand why you had to do it. Keep it up man!

Thanks! I'll get tired of it eventually and want a change (thinking HRE or CCW in future)

Saving for a house so new wheels weren't in budget when comparing with $80/wheel powder!

Initially mine too ha. Started looking around at local cars and that's what 99% of people do around me--bunch of gm and ford junkies (camaro's-v-stang's is main discussion point in most car meets; they all think i'm the exotic hahaha)

I'm just burnt out of seeing a car with black wheels that get lost under the body. there's only a handful of cars with wheels that aren't silver/chrome/black/etc (monochrome)

the high metallic red is dark at night (nothing too flashy to attract thieves) but really bright/shiny in sunlight.

Thanks for the honesty--I knew the wheels would be a hit or miss with everyone; seeing your badging in your pic i could have guessed your opinion lol.

Well, I'm refinishing my HRE's in a gunmetal color (easier to sell in that color) with polished lips. Check my build thread to keep up with them and see what the outcome is

What's up guys. I bough. Some eurotek lm reps in 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear. 45 offset all around. I test fitted the rims when I did my brakes. While I had the car jacked up I placed the rim on the hub and the rim hits the strut. I'm on stock m sport suspension. What should I do about this.

You need a 5mm spacer for the rear, I've heard.

I'm running the Euroteck rims you mentioned with no contact at all and I'm running eibach springs. 225/40/18F & 245/35/18R Michellin Pilot Sport A/S3 tires.

No need for the 5mm spacer anymore with the new batch of wheels.

If he bought them used, he might have got an old batch of wheels. I know they had problems at the beginning with this issue. It can only be fixed with a spacer.
