Major Jb4 Issues Help!!!
I recently installed my jb4 tune to my 08' 135i, other mods were N55 midpipe, berk race exhaust, and full intercooler set up with drop in filter. After running the car for a few runs my LIMP mode would kick it a few times throwing codes for vanos, low boost, fuel pump, etc. ( These codes would appear at separate times) After changing from map 5 to map 1, I was still getting problems after giving the car full throttle 5-7 times. I tried adjusting the boost to slowly kick it so my turbos wouldn't choke on stock DP's , making full 13psi about 4 1/2k with some pedal lag in there as well. Also adding the max amount of fuel possible. After running it constantly, the cars AFR was right at 12 which made me one happy camper. After finishing my last update and leaving my car off for about two hours I sat in it for another normal ride. After 20 min I gave it a third gear pull and the AFR numbers would rise to 15 on full throttle. Before, it would hit 15 and slowly decrease but now it hits 12 and goes to 15! Now guys is there anything I could do to try to fix this? maybe a different tune would fix this problem?? Any advice would help!!!!! Thanks.

Contact Terry. I had major issues when I installed my JB4. I went straight to Terry and not the forums. He helped me troubleshoot over the phone. We found out I had a bad control box. I sent it to him and he sent me a new one. All is good now and haven't had any issues in 2 years.

After days of trying to fix my problem, I find out I just had a bad fuel pump. On the other note I just came to a conclusion that I'm just gonna sell the tune and drive my car with a more stock feel, still leaving intakes, exhaust, etc. Nothing that'll break my motor. Just a cosmetic build from this point on. Honestly this stupid car gets enough issues as is. I'll just save my money and time and buy something a little more mod friendly in the future. And by that I mean a car like a M car, Evo, etc. A car that'll handle heavy mods, RELIABLE, for mass amounts of time.

Well the sad truth hits us at some point. It took me and my brother one 335i and two 135i's to finally except it. I'm starting to really like those audi s4's. I've heard that the new v6 supercharged motor with same bolts as a 135i ( dps, tune, etc) would walk all over it and still handle 5x better. Maybe even trackable with upgraded cooling? who knows. At least it'll run right.
