Laguna Seca Blue M3

I was parking my 135i Coupe earlier tonight when this beautiful blue M3 pulled up and parked right next to me.
I was with my daughter, who started going ape-shit when she saw the M3... she loved that shade of blue.

I asked the guy what the color was called, because I honestly did not know.

Laguna Seca Blue is what he said. I googled a pic for all of you, but I must say it looked fantastic in real life. Anyway, I just wanted to share this with anyone that likes it. I'm sure some of you have seen Laguna Seca Blue before, but, oddly, I have never seen it until tonight. Freakin' gorgeous!

LSB aka Smurf M3. Brings back memories. It was the official launch color like Sedona Red

The car looked great in person, but I wasn't that hot on the interior. Were there other interior choices besides blue?

Between 2001-2003, I swore I saw 2-3 LSB M3s on a daily basis...they seemed to have "disappeared".

It was the iconic color for the e46 M3 in its earlier years, aside from Phoenix Yellow I think it was called.

Definitely a color you never forget. Too bad you can't get it on a 1, but that might be a little too in-your-face to the M crowd.

Worst color ever for an M3. A lot of people don't like the Phoenix Yellow either - although I actually do like it.

Laguna Seca/black were the colors I chose when I ordered my M3. I later came to my senses and, fearing the stigma of the Smurfmobile®, changed that order to Imola/black. Even later, I lost my mind again and changed to Carbon/Imola.

If I had the unlimited money and tons of resources at my disposal. I would totally get the carbon fiber M3. The color is amazing, plus the performance gains are astonishing.

In Europe most of the M3 are black then comes silver. All others color are really rare. Here's the current colours and numbers that are in sale (in Germany www.mobile.de)

Farbe
  • Beige (0)
  • Blau (32)
  • Braun (0)
  • Gelb (13)
  • Gold (1)
  • Grau (39)
  • Grün (2)
  • Orange (0)
  • Rot (9)
  • Schwarz (143)
  • Silber (67)
  • Violett (0)
  • Weiß (2)

I really love my LSB M3 color, it changes the shade depending on the weather. And usually photos dont do any justice to it.

Never heard of that colour. Santorin blue (individual color) is quite like a LSB in E90 series cars.
