More Than 8weeks For Sure Right??

Hi guys.

Im kind of disappointed about BMW and my dealer who frequently lie to me.

ok, I made an order on first week of December 2010, but I was able to find my statues of order from mybmw.com jumping to the 2nd step which scheduled on production.. seriously wtf? I was expecting it arriving around mid Jan to End Jan but.. now it just got on production..does anyone know about how long does the transportation from germany to CA takes
???
I have no Idea about until when do i need to wait ..
i think my car will arrive with 2012 LCI 135i Together..
Im like taking bus for transportation to school..and sick of it
damn!!!!

any opinion or similar experiences??

Because of demand (especially from U.S. market), BMW did not close down for the traditional holiday period this year. I read a bunch of articles about this before Christmas.
I ordered my 128i on Dec. 23 and my current status is that it is on a boat already. I am really excited to get my car, but I am happy with the progress so far considering all of what I have read on these forums about how long it can take.

Also, the tracking info on the internet has always been behind for me so maybe your car is further along than you think. The 800 number is more up to date and your dealer should have the most accurate info.

Good luck, I know the wait sucks.

Just give your CA a call and ask when it will come. The mybmw tracker still shows my car on the boat. I've had it for 9 months.

My car was built 2nd week of March. Arrived in California mid April. Arrived in Hawaii mid May.

The tracker shows my 128i at the delivery center. I have had it for 18 months.

There are hundreds of posts throughout this website describing the order and delivery process from beginning to end. Your CA has all the info and he/she should be able to give you exact dates. In general, it takes about one month to arrive at the port of entry in California. From there it's given priority to already sold orders and barring any other problems should arrive at your dealership in another week or so. Finally, the BMW tracker system is old and slow and don't pay any attention to it and calling BMW N.A. is not much better.
