I payed a buddy of mine to do it too. I watched as he did it and was surprised how easy it was. Was worth the $100 regardless.

Ordered a disa manifold! Started my savings for the tune, and gave it a bath. And then it rained. Overall a good day!!! thank you StIg for encouraging me to do this!

Dakalone got me in contact with an coding/ tuning shop in Munich, individualcardesign. Basically they are going to tune it to n52b30O0 specs. So 272HP or so for 700€. He has done many 125i's with the manifold swap with excellent results. The only thing I could do to improve the power from that would be headers.

Pirelli P-Zero 18"
Hi guys - I am new to 1addicts but have found so much cool info here that I've signed up. My latest thing to add was 18" Pirelli P-Zeros to the front of my E82. They are soo much better than the Potenzas I had from new so now I'll fit the rear 245s as well. Also looking at tuning my CPU to 130i spec from the 125i that I have right now and found this - http://turingms.com/products/evolve-r-e82-n52 .

If you ever plan on going headers, I would stick with Evolve. Quote:

Hey man how are those power stop brake pads holding up? I installed PS rotors and pads on my wrx and the rotors were great but the pads crack from heat. Within 100 miles of use. Just a heads up kobeballer96.

Purchased Alcantera covered M-sport wheel. My 128i has the regular sport wheel, not Msport. Lured by the CobyWheel thread and thinking about their ZHP alcantera knob.
@ehagerty nice rotors

I ran into a problem with the rotors..The place I purchased the fronts (Brakemotive) went out of stock on the rears and had a long lead time so I got the rears from another place (Brakelabs). That is why the finishes are different. Brake labs use a different more evident zinccromate type plating...much brighter color
The pads seem ok so far....have not really driven on them that much yet. I will not be tracking my car so that is a mute issue for me. So far they feel good.....hope they will be much better on the brake dust then the OEM's. There is a little bit developing but everything is wearing in. The pads are Power Stop’s Evolution ceramic |

How's the brake feel and bite compared to stock? i wanna go to ceramic's to get rid of the dust, but i really like the stock brake feel. I'm quite content with my purchase of full set of calipers, rotors and pads for $40 bucks from a member on here. Many thanks to that kind sir!

The issue is mouting the shoes, cutting up a 135i back plate to bolt to 128i back plate plate or making the 135i plate it fit to 128i plate mounting holes would allow one to make brake shoes mount. recent bimmperpost z4 thread has shows its possible

^^^Seems like a lot of work for nothing. I mean I'd love to see someone do it successfully, but I would never do it. Better rotors and pads seems to be the best route for the 128i. Just my .02 cents.
And before someone buys powerstop rotors and pads thinking they improve braking they don't. I installed them on my wrx and with days of normal driving the rotors had excess pad material build up, which cause pedal pulsation, and the pads were cracked and glazed. I was precise on the bedding procedure and didn't track the car. I switched to centric premium blanks and EBC pads and everything was back to normal. Just my expirience, May not be the norm with this company but I feel everyone should know.

I've said it before and a lot of people jumped on me, but I'm saying it again...you want good brakes for your 128 but don't want to mess with the handbrake?? Do what I did, install the performance front brake kit...mine have been on for 300 miles now, and they are simply fantastic, both performance and looks...that stock sliding caliper and small rotor simply don't match the performance look of the car...they work pretty good, but the performance fronts work better and look way better. I am looking for drilled and/or slotted rear rotors, could somebody send me a link? I'm too lazy to search....
