Don't buy from ECS
Don't buy from ECS Tuning. I had never had a problem before, and I have purchased stuff from them over the last few years including for my BMW. However, I have tried to claim warranty on a factory part, but they have informed me they do not honour warranties on OEM parts outside of the USA.

No it isn't standard.
This is 2016, soon to be 2017 with sellers looking to sell around the world and into other markets. I have never had this issue with any other overseas supplier. |

I agree with your sentiment Kabnine... Sad reality is, many vendors have this "policy".. Best of luck sorting it.
Does not help our Dollar is tanking against the greenback either regarding "Christmas shopping" when import and GST is charged at the border and not upon sale |

Kabnine sorry to hear you're having an issue, you have a PM from me requesting some info. That being said all of our warranty policies are outlined in our terms of use (LINK).
asn993 you also have a PM, I'll need a little info on your order and I'll be able to pull it up to see what's going on. -James |

Wait so you bought a factory part or an OEM part? Which was it? You realize those are two completely different things right....If the part was actually a FACTORY BMW part it is correctly referred to as "OE" which stands for original equipment. OEM is a part from a factory MANUFACTURER that will differ from a factory part either by not being branded all the way up to using cheaper components.

The Wind Breezes the parts in question are genuine BMW parts. We use this term instead of OEM and OE on our site to eliminate confusion between parts which come directly from BMW and other aftermarket offerings (which we list the actual brands of).
The warranty policy on genuine BMW parts is that of BMW. Any retailer operating outside of this is in risk of being flagged by BMW. That being said I was able to find Kabnine order from Feb of 2015 in our system, my head of customer service will be reaching out shortly. -James |
