Square 18x8.5" fitment

Hello all,

I've been doing a ton of research into whether a set of wheels that I've always loved will fit my 135i M Sport. Wheels sizes are 18x8.5 +38 at all four corners. I do know that this is not ideal offset for these cars but after spending a lot of time going through every page on the wheel/fitment thread and seeing what people have gotten away with, I believe that it is possible to fit them in some way. Currently on stock suspension, I'm nervous to go with just a set of coils because I'd be stuck at that height if I needed a minor adjustment.

Just recently bought a set of 225 and 255 Potenza RE760's that are now on my stock wheels, if I can get away with these sizes I will be satisfied. I'm not looking to stretch if possible but I understand that may not be the case.

Any insight would be helpful, thanks in advance

Should be okay, but what is the question?

Ha, didn't realize I didn't even mention one.

With how limited we are on wheel selection, I'm just looking for insight on whether or not they would fit based on the offset and width, and what issues I can expect to run into.

If this is accurate at all, it doesn't seem like that drastic of a change but then again I have not had anything but the stock wheels for this car. Will probably get it on the lift and take a better look at things.

I think you'd be ok on the front, I have a 40mm offset and run 255 tires with 8.5" wheels up front, so you should be fine. Not sure what the rears will be like.

Holy cow, what suspension are you on? No issues when turning/over bumps? Thanks, it was more the fronts that were in question in my head.

Stock suspension with the free camber mod, huge dips at high speeds cause minor rubbing and at full cut while hitting a big bump will cause it as well. I feel like stiffer shocks and possibly camber plates would remedy that.
