Warning light came on today....
but only for a second... it was really weird....
So I went over a bump, not hard or anything and I didnt hit anything it was just a normal bump. However while my car was going over the bump the warning light came on for a second or so, I thought immediately it was HPFP, I was like I'm so fr@cked (middle of nowhere)... afterwards the car drove like normal and no problems. Has anyone had this happen to them? |

Which light came on? The Service Engine Soon or the one in the information window? Or something else?
Did you have a little exclaimation (!) mark next to your trip counter afterwards? It could be as simple as the traction control kicking in. It will do that pretty often when you hit a bumps at speed. It's an indication that the tires aren't rotating at the same speed. |

Are you talking about the one with the triangle around it? Or the small one that shows up next to your trip OD? THe one with the triangle around it means the stability control has stepped in. The one next to the trip OD means you've had a warning message (like low washer fluid), and you've cleared it. You can see it again by selecting the "Info" option on the stalk menu. |

Triangle one is traction control... you can get that pretty easily in these cars. Accelerating after going over a bump, cornering quickly. On the track it's pretty much on all the time haha.
The one that's kind of like (!) could be the tire pressure monitor. It has little ridges on the bottom. Or... it could be this:

I think I did pretty good...at least on the electronic portions of the display. I should have taken more time on the tach needle though. I should have cleaned up the dial part a bit more. The photo was from my iPhone while I was at a stoplight, so the tach needle was at idle, so I had to move that. If I were really anal, and had more time, I could/should have moved the speedo up some and move the oil temp needle over some too. Because anyone who knows anything about VTEC would call BS because VTEC wouldn't kick in until the oil temp was up more LOL. It was done with PaintShop Pro too. I may end up getting PS as I really enjoy messing around like this. |

Shame on us for knowing this too. It only takes about 3min from start up and regular driving for it to be ''okay" to engage. I'm speaking for us living in the warmer states, at least.
