Rather than return it I just cut if off with a hacksaw, trimmed the excess rubber and drilled new holes at the top. Looks fine but I need to get 1 of the torx screws in longer threaded version as it's not quite long enough. The other 2 pedals were fine and easy to install with a drill and torx driver.

I created another thread in the cosmetic modifications sub-forum with my afterthoughts of an aftermarket set of aluminium pedals which were great quality without the high cost associated with OEM performance pedals. In some ways I prefer the look as there are no labels/advertisements on these pedals like other models. Total cost with shipping was $45.
