255/275 PSS fit with updated liners
I know this has been already mentioned several times, but just want to share my experience. I bought a set of new tires (255/35/19 and 275/35/19 PSS) and figured out that the fronts rub on full lock.
I ordered updated fender liners and everything is fine now. No rubbing at all, so if you hesitate, whether to do it or not, it is my experience that with the updated fender liners it works and doesn't rub. The only downside is that BMW refused to replace them free of charge, but they weren't expensive (100 EUR), though. |

Luckily I already got them to replace the liners as my winter set up was rubbing on full lock. How big a difference is there with the new set up vs the old? |

Well, I came from the winter setting, so the difference is huge, but comparing to previous summer stock sizes (Michelin PS2s), I would say that there is noticably more grip on the rear, but got it just few days, need to brake them in.

It's unfortunate they don't come in 285/30s, I'm contemplating S-04s as an option as well... Last edited by 1mm2; 04-09-2016 at 02:16 PM.. |

From my work order, not sure which is left and which is right, but this is what my dealer installed:
51-71-8-051-591 51-71-8-051-592 (dealer did it under warranty for me, but I had rubbing with correct size tires, RE-11's are just wider than the stockers) |

Any experts/parts personnel available to confirm if the above referenced parts are in fact anew variant? I'm not finding a superseded part and am suspecting that people are merely getting replacements with new pieces.

Did it back in the days. Had to do one side only with the 255 fronts.

I have 255/35/19 and 275/35/19 Conti ECS on stock wheels and can see no negatives; I get no rubbing with original fender liners, they look better, protect the wheel better, handle better in wet especially, and give slightly taller gearing which, with all the torque this bugger has with only bolt-ons, it can use!

I have Michelin PSS at 275/35/ZR19 on rear without any issues on stock suspension
