Different TPMS Sensors ??
Hi guys
am buying a new set of Alufelgen rims and was wondering about the tire pressure monitor sensor and stem valves. My car registration says that my BMW 135i is a 2011; but based on the VIN code it was build on 5/2010. On tire rack, when buying wheels it will ask whether the car was built before 9/2010 or after 9/2010. In short, are there two different type of sensors ?? Does a new rim also come with a stem valve or this is an optional item ?? Does a TPMS work with any rims specified for BMW ? is there also different brands for TPMS that has compatibility issues from one rim manufacturer to the other ? Last but not least, where is the cheapest place to source the TPMS and the stem valve ? Thanks for the help. Capri |

There are two different sensors. Yours will have the older version. The retailer of those rims should be able to confirm compatibility for you. We sell the sensor for $40 and the valve for $8.
