Done Raj.
Can we set up some grudge matches. Also Benny can we line up for a run? I know my car has nowhere near the potential of your Porka but it's all a bit of fun. Where's that lusty character with his upgraded turbos. I wanna race his beast too. I'll race your 335 Pete but I'll make sure to give you a full second handicap. lol, Kenny's cool. I've got no beef with him. We just had a misunderstanding. I'll say hello if I'm there

Thanks Ben I certainly need a lot more practice!
I must say I'm very impressed with the performance of the 135 and 335's on the night - mine was the slowest out there I think but it is 10 yrs older in technology I suppose. For those interested this was the 2nd time I taken the E39 M5 to the drag slip, the first being back in 2004 when I first bought the car. I wish I had of Read Kenny's drag tips before heading to the track, although his instructions would differ slighlty for getting the N/A car off the line. here's a snap shot of my runs: 1st run was terrible at 2.39 60ft with a 14.468@104.3mph 2nd run was an improvement at 2.324 60ft with a 13.744@106.03mph 3rd run was better still at 2.218 60ft with a 13.321@108.06mph Keen to get out again and see if I have the skills to better this. I took one in car video which is not very exciting really but will put it up in any event. Apologies for invading your forum! cheers Stu Last edited by StuM5; 05-24-2012 at 01:53 AM.. |

Keeping an eye out for weather. It says it's going to be partly cloudy.
One weather app says there's 80% chance of rain, but only 1 - 5 mm. Will see how it goes. Getting car prepped tomorrow morning for drags on Weds

Looks even better now. Chance of a shower only which is ok.
I'm prepping by ensuring the car has fuel and the tyres are all evenly inflated :-). Gates open at 4:30 and I'll be there on time I hope! One concern that I'd like to ask the experience folk is how to do you warm up the gearbox/diff if you are just sitting around waiting for your turn? Is this a concern or not? Thanks Byron |

Bad news gents. I'm out. I got something important to attend to.
All the best to everyone going. If it rains, I'll try again for next week.
