Looking to replace RFT with Michelin PSS... availability a concern?
I'm due tires (got almost 12k out of the OEM!), and I had decided to go with the michelin PSS. However, talking with buddy who works the local discount tire, he is struggling to find them and his system implies they are unavailable from the manufacturer. This gives me pause should I need a replacement, as I don't want to be waiting days to find a matching tire if I have a blowout.
My query; is there a different tire that is more readily available that will give me about the same performance (say the PS3's), or are other sizes of the PSS something to consider for availability reasons (I was sticking with the OEM sizes)? Thanks. |

Lots of other tires out there, many equally good or better.

My independent BMW mech. says there's no prob mixing Hankook V12 Evo on the front and Michelin PS AS3's on the rear... Sound correct?

I can find 245/35/18 in the UK but not 255's. Even Michelin's website says they do not make the PSS's in that size. How are you guys getting them? Would it be worth going to 245 rather than 255 just to have the PSS's?
Sorry for the slight jack!
