Help a newbie find some wheels?

Hello all, in the market for a second set of wheels for summer (OEM rims for snows), and my front has destroyed a pair of relatively new Dunlops. It needs an alignment pretty badly. I'm not terribly familiar with how tire sizing would work on the 1, as the rims in question are 19" diameter with my choice of width (from 8.5" to 10") and offset (15, 30, 40). I'd be looking at replacing the Dunlops with some Michelin PSS tires, of course, but wasn't sure what would fit on the stock suspension without rubbing. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Most would probably go 19x8.5 et 40 all the way around with those options. Then they'd probably put 225/35 tires front, 245/35 rear. You could chose a slightly 9 or 9.5" wide rear wheel, but with those offsets you wouldn't be able to run much wider tires anyways.

Thanks! I contacted Vossen (Should have noted that I'm looking at their CVT model) and they suggested running 8.5" fronts but 10" rears... Strangely they were silent as to offset. I know that user N55Jay here on the forum had them, so I fired a PM his way to see if it was feasible with the stock suspension/unmodified fenders. I also asked Vossen themselves what they thought. Hopefully all goes well!

EDIT: Vossen shot an email back really quickly, recommended ET40 for the front and ET55 for the rear and suggested a tire size of 225/35/19 for the front and 255/30/19 for the rear. Thoughts?

You did not mention et55 offsets. That combo should work. I'd actually rather have that offset with a 9.5" wheel, but 10" will work. Some 255 tires will look fairly stretched on a 10" wheel but wider tires might rub, depending on the tire brand.

I didn't know it was an option until they emailed me, so I was pleasantly surprised by that. Looks promising, so I'm going to do it. Pics to follow soon-ish!

Woah! That's pretty severe... thoughts? Regrets? After seeing this, I'm seriously considering stepping down to a square setup vice staggered... Not a fan of the stretched look. I'd rather go narrower and have the tires mount better...

If you are looking for a square wheel setup I'd recommend 18x8.5et45 instead of 40. An ET40 will push the wheel out by 5mm and may cause issues in the rear depending on the tire you try to fit. If you aren't tracking the car and just looking for some balanced handling then this offset will serve you will. You can run it with an almost square tire setup or full square depending on your suspension setup.

235/40 F and 245/35 rear should work fine. I had this installed for a while with MPSS and had no rubbing issues anywhere. I did have -2 camber in front though so can't say with 100% confidence that you won't have any minor rubbing if you are fully stock.

245/35 MPSS F and R is what I have installed now with no issues. I do have a 5mm spacer up front so I clear my Bilstein sports. Again, no rubbing front or rear. I still have the -2 camber too.

Hope this helps.
