I put on a set of Star Specs last August and have autocrossed them 3 times this spring. They are great, I too have the staggered 17s so I went with:
Front:
225/45ZR17 Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec
Rear:
235/45ZR17 Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec

Here's some pics so you can see how they sit on the wheels, the first two are the old run-craps:

Thanks for your reply -- It looks like your wheels are different then mine, I have the 17 inch Msport staggered ones. do you think I can still fit the Star Specs?

I agree with jb2178, a 245/40 would be perfect in the rear, but I think that is just slightly to large for that rim width.
