Thanks for the invite. I did consider it, but I will be coming over to London the week after your meet and I didn't fancy two trips. Thanks anyway

From what I understand, it's pretty much a lottery - you either get Michelins or Bridgestones, depending on what they happen to have available at the time. I did actually email BMW in Germany to ask them if they could put the PS2s on my car and they said they would do their best, but it may just be a coincidence. It's a 1 in 2 chance, after all.

It's a beauty! When I read that you went for poplar with lemon, I thought that it wouldn't match very well.. And every lemon interior I've seen is with alu or burl trim.. But it is a really classy combo, I like it!
Congrats and enjoy, the 330d is fantastic!

Thanks. I was a bit worried as I had never seen this particular combo either. Every lemon interior I had seen had the aluminium trim and I didn't like that too much as it made the whole interior seem too pastel, especially with the light grey headliner. I like the burl wood better, but on some of the photos I saw it seemed really dark, almost black. So I ordered the poplar 'blind', but now I have seen it, I really like it. The only small detail I'm not too sure about is the look of the //M wheel: I'm sure it'll be nice to hold, but the perforated leather kind of looks too sporty for the lemon & wood, IMO. Never mind, it's only a tiny detail.

If Lemon was available in the US, I would have gotten it.
If the Anthracite headliner was available in the US, I would have gotten it.
If the 330d was available in the US, I would have gotten it.
If the M-package was available in the US, I would have gotten it.
If clears were available in the US, I would have gotten it.

Do you see a pattern here?
then you have to move to EU....

The standard sport wheel looks great, but I didn't think it felt very sporty (not thick enough). Now that I have actually driven my car, I don't regret specifying the M wheel - it feels very nice (soft & thick) and frankly you don't really look at it once you're driving.
